Got Mango?!
It's not a fruit, "Mango Languages" is an easy online language learning system available at the Duxbury Free Library! Learn a new language or help your child study the language they're learning in class. Mango can help with interactive online lessons in Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese....even Pirate! This fantastic resource available to you and your family - all you need is a Duxbury Library card! Come to the Library on Wednesday, January 25th from 10am-4pm to learn more about Mango! We'll walk you through the steps. It's easy: bring your Library card, get registered and you can begin! Can't make it to the Library? Do it at home at www.duxburyfreelibrary.org. Duxbury Free Library announces MANGO Languages
The Friends of the Duxbury Free Library has purchased the Mango Languages online language-learning system for Duxbury Library patrons. Mango is free with a Duxbury Free Library card, and offers a fast, convenient solution for the community’s increasing language-learning needs.
You can access Mango via our websites, duxburyfreelibrary.org and duxfol.org. Coursework is available in two versions. One is Mango Complete, a 100-lesson course designed to provide a deep understanding of a language and its culture. The second is Mango Basic, which teaches every day greetings, and helpful phrases in a short period of time and is designed for the traveler or a beginner. The courses are currently available in 36 foreign languages and 15 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
"We are thrilled to add Mango to our online resources," said Library Director Elaine Winquist. "Our language products are always in demand. Some people need to learn a second language for business or travel reasons. Mango is appropriate for both students and adult learners. Once again, our Friends of Library board has stepped up to support our needs!"
