The Friends of the Duxbury Free Library will host a 1950’s Gala “A Night at the Sands” on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at The Library Lounge, 77 Alden Street from 6:30–11 p.m

Hot food featuring savory horsd’oeuvres and elegant buffet stations by the Borrowed Butler, exquisite desserts by Foodie’s new Pastry Chef, Greg Case and cool jazz, swing and blues by the Pete Collins Band will assure you it’s the best party of the year!  Experience a different kind of evening by trying your luck in The Sands Casino for exciting casino gaming and prizes.  It’s as close to Vegas as you’ll ever get without leaving town and your presence will benefit the library!  Formal attire, black tie optional and cash bar.  Tickets are $75 per guest and are available at the library’s circulation desk and Westwinds Bookshop until sold out.
